How to use Pascal

Writer: Changdeuk KangChangdeuk Kang

“Pascal” is the name of the Digital Twin provided by Cnix. The mission of Pascal is to bring AI-based Digital Twin technology closer to industrial sites. While large-scale AI systems with enormous resources and high costs are valuable, Pascal is designed to be utilized in a more customized manner for manufacturing environments, operating with relatively lower specifications and costs.

Cnix’s Digital Twin, Pascal, can be deployed from small-scale to large-scale Digital Twin systems. Additionally, instead of relying on a dedicated UI, it is designed to support any HMI tool that supports the Modbus TCP interface. This approach ensures that anyone in the manufacturing field can easily access and utilize the Digital Twin technology.

Pascal enables process optimization, simulation for process improvement, and predictive maintenance based on the data used for AI training. In particular, when integrated with Cnix’s Data Service Platform DAQ, it not only simplifies the creation of AI training data but also allows users to selectively train AI with desired data from individual equipment or entire processes. This capability makes it highly effective for process analysis and simulation.

For example, by training AI with arbitrary data from both pre-processes and post-processes, it becomes possible to identify the relationship between raw material conditions and product quality. Additionally, users can simulate different material input conditions to optimize production outcomes.

Cnix’s Digital Twin, Pascal, aims to support your efforts in carbon reduction.
